Benefits of Goji Berries

1. Protect Your Eyes.
Studies have found that goji berries can help reduce the risk of glaucoma.
Goji berries are believed to prevent age-related eye diseases.

Goji berries help improve vision because they are rich in healthy antioxidants, especially zeaxanthin.

2. Provide Immune System Support.
The nutritional content of wolfberry also contains healthy antioxidants. Antioxidants are known for their ability to boost immunity and fight harmful free radicals and inflammation.

Goji berries also contain a lot of vitamins A and C, similar to other berries such as blueberries and raspberries. Vitamins A and C are very important for strengthening immunity and preventing diseases (from flu to cancer).

3. The Prevention of Cancer.

High levels of antioxidants, including vitamin C, zeaxanthin and carotenoids, may fight cancer cells. Antioxidants slow tumor growth, reduce inflammation, and help remove harmful substances from the body.

A study on mice, published in the journal Drug Design, Development and Therapy, found that goji berries inhibit tumor growth and improve the effectiveness of cancer treatment.

4. Make the Skin Healthier.
Lycium barbarum contains β-carotene, which is an important phytochemical. Beta-carotene is known for its ability to promote healthy skin.
Beta-carotene is an ingredient in skin creams and can be used for:

5. Stabilize Blood Sugar.
Lycium barbarum may help control the release of sugar into the blood. Research in 2015 showed that wolfberry can balance insulin and glucose levels in the blood.
The same study linked goji berries to elevated HDL levels in patients with type 2 diabetes, which is called good cholesterol.

6. Treat Depression, Anxiety and Insomnia.
Goji berries can help improve mood and sleep quality.
A 2016 study using mice showed that wolfberry can improve behaviors such as depression and anxiety.
Another study conducted in the United States using humans also found that drinking wolfberry juice can improve energy, mood and digestive health.

In this study, healthy adult participants took 120 milliliters of wolfberry juice or a placebo drink daily for 14 days.
They filled out a questionnaire to record their well-being, neurological and mental health, musculoskeletal symptoms, digestive and cardiovascular diseases, and the adverse effects of daily juice.

The researchers took measurements to record the blood pressure, weight, weight, pulse, and vision of each participant before and after 14 days of the study.
The suit taking wolfberry juice reported increased energy, concentration, improved athletic performance, intellectual acuity, and a sense of calm and satisfaction on day 15.
The study also showed that the sleep quality of people who consumed goji berry juice improved, and no one would suffer any negative effects from drinking the juice.
